Haven't posted for a while... we've been so busy organising ourselves for our trip to Colombia that we've hardly had time to scratch ourselves. We've been waiting so long for the news but now that the time has come it seems overwhelming to get ourselves ready in such a short amount of time.
Anyway, this blog will be quiet for a while and all news will appear on my travel blog... http://www.travelsofdeepkickgirl.blogspot.com/
Apart from our excitement at being parents again life is going smoothly in Pomona Street. Jason has started his new job (a week ago) and is loving it. It's probably the first job he's ever started that hasn't had a freak out stress attack period at the beginning. This job has started very well and Jason is a very happy little Vegemite. He's even had his first "sponsored" yum cha session, so that's got to be a good thing (thank you, Telstra).
I've been shopping up a storm, not only for baby things but for tickets! Last week was a big ticket week - first of all Billy Connolly. This will be the fourth time I've see him live and he really is an incredibly gifted man. He is so unbelievably funny it blows my mind. I can't wait to see him again in February 2006. Then, last Friday, I came home to find the Sydney Festival 2006 brochure in the letterbox. Flipping through it leisurely I almost blew a gasket when I found Antony and The Johnsons are a featured act - playing the State Theatre in January. I scared my poor sister half to death with my screaming, squealing phone message (she though someone had died).
So 2006 is panning out to be a pretty fantabulous year! My darling baby girl will be home with us... and we'll be enjoying one of the most talented musicians I have ever seen/heard and one of the funniest men on earth - all in the first two months of the new year.
Then we're planning a holiday in Thailand with Jason's brother, sister-in-law and new baby son towards the end of the year. Not to mention a holiday in Perth visiting Jason's family around Easter time.
2006 is going to be a big year! See you then!
